MANI MONDAY: FIZZY

For this week's manicure I wanted to try something that works for the festive season that's coming up. Having Christmas closer everyday (although it's already here in malls and stores), it's almost impossible to get into the mood. This manicure, that I call Fizzy, reminds me of the tiny bubbles in a glass of champagne. You can, of course, change the colors a bit to make them look lighter, more like glasses with bubbles (might try this for Christmas). You can also go darker and make your nails look like a starry sky; it's all up to you and what you like :)

Para el manicure de esta semana quería probar algo que funcione para las fiestas navideñas que se avecinan. La Navidad esta más cerca todos los días (a pesar que ya está aquí en centros comerciales y tiendas), y es casi imposible no entrar en el estado de ánimo festivo. Este manicure, que llamo Fizzy, me recuerda a las pequeñas burbujas en un vaso de champán. Pueden, por supuesto, cambiar los colores un poco para que se vean más claras, más como copas con burbujas (puede ser que intente esto para Navidad). También se puede ir más oscuro y hacer que sus uñas parezcan un cielo estrellado, todo depende de lo que les guste. :)

This time I used: Wet n Wild "Wet Cement", OPI -don't know the name of this one but you can use "Golden Eye" from the Skyfall collection, and Darosa Oval #35

You wil also need: A piece of paper, a bobby pin, a ballpoint pen with no ink, and a toothpick.

First apply the base color, I used two coats to get a dark even color. Let dry.

Primero aplica el color base. Yo use 2 capas para tener un color parejo y oscuro. Deja secar completamente. 

Once the base is dry, place a drop of the second color (Wet cement for me) on the paper. Dip the tip of the bobby pin in the nail polish and next make several dots on your nail. Make sure to move fast because the nail polish will dry on the paper; if this happens, pour out another drop.

Una vez que la base esté seca, se coloca una gota del segundo color (wet cement para mí) en el papel. Sumerje la punta del ganchito en el esmalte de uñas y haz varios puntos sobre la uña. Asegúrate de moverte rápido porque el esmalte se seca en el papel, y si esto sucede, solo saca una gota mas.

The next step is to do the same process but using the gold nail polish (it will add a bit of sparkle and make your nails more festive ;) It will also add more dimension.) This time, use the pen to make smaller dots.

Finally go back to the first color (wet cement) and repeat, this time with the toothpick to get really tiny dots to fill in spaces. Let dry and add a topcoat to seal in your design :)

El siguiente paso es hacer el mismo proceso pero usando el esmalte de uñas color oro (añadirá un poco de chispa y hará que sus uñas se vean más festivas ;) También añade más dimensión.) Esta vez, utilice el lapicero para hacer puntos más pequeños.

Por último volver al primer color (wet cement) y repetir, esta vez con el palillo de dientes para conseguir puntos muy pequeños para llenar los espacios. Deje secar y añade una capa final para sellar el diseño :)
