Hi guys! Happy start of a new week! Today I bring you an easy but a bit of a time consuming manicure that was inspired by Christian Siriano's Resort 2014 collection. I loved the bold, graphic aspect of some pieces so I decided to transfer it to my nails. I had a hard time deciding between the bright pink and purple versions of the striped looks, but finally I settled for pink. Think I'll talk about this collection later this week. Follow the steps below if you'd like to paint your nails this way :)
I used base coat, bright pink (Petites) white and black polish (OPI), top coat, and tape.
Hola a todos! Espero hayan tenido un buen comienzo de semana :D Ahora les traigo un manicure facil pero que si lleva algo de tiempo, que fue inspirado por la colección Resort 2014 de Christian Siriano. Me gusto mucho lo gráfico de varias prendas asi que decidí transferirlo a mis uñas. Me costo decidir entre las versiones rosada y morada de este estampado, pero al final me fui con el rosado. Creo que hablaré más sobre esta colección más adelante. Pero por el momento, si quieren pintar sus uñas de esta manera, pueden seguir los siguientes pasos :)
Esta vez usé: base, rosado neon (Petites), Blanco y negro (OPI), brillo y cinta adhesiva.
Start by applying the base coat and 2 coats of white varnish; let it dry completely.
Comienza aplicando la base y 2 capas de esmalte blanco; deja secar completamente.
Next, cut strips of tape according to the design you want to create. The widths can vary to make the design your own. Start to place them on your nails like so.
Luego corta tiritas de cinta adhesiva de acuerdo al diseño que quieras crear. El ancho de las tiras puede variar para hacer el diseño tal y como te guste. Una vez listas, comienza a colocarlas sobre las uñas.
Once you have placed the tape, start painting with the black and pink varnishes. It's ok if you make a mess here, but be carful not to paint into the other areas.
Una vez has colocado la cinta, comienza a aplicar el barniz rosa y negro. Esta bien si te manchas todos los dedos en esta parte, al final se limpian; pero procura no pasarte a las otras areas.
When you have painted all the nails, let them dry for a bit and carefully remove the tape. Clean up de edges with a q-tip with nail polish remover. Finally apply the top coat to smooth out your design.
Cuando has terminado de pintar todas las uñas, deja secar por un momento y luego, con cuidado, remueve la cinta adhesiva. Limpia los bordes con un poco de removedor de esmalte, y finalmente aplica el brillo para sellar el diseño.
