Well well, seems like it's been forever since I last posted something :s And this particular post is waaaay over due, but I decided to do it today and post it today :) So here it is, today's Mani Monday post is a great trick that I just HAD to share with you.
We all know that glitter polish look so great! I love it for nail art, as accent, or simply as solid glittery nails. But Mamma Mia! talk about taking it off! This pesky polish sure gets on our nerves when we have to remove it (specially in thick layers of large pieces of glitter). It takes SO long and rubbing so much can damage your nails... but fear no more! Follow the simple steps below to make the removal of glitter polish a piece of cake!
Bueno, después de una eternidad de no publicar nada, en especial este post que tenía que escribirlo hace uuuu tiempos... decidí escribirlo y publicarlo ahora :) Así que aquí está, el Mani Monday de esta semana es un truco que TENIA que compartir con ustedes.
Todas sabemos que los esmaltes con glitter se ven muy lindos! A mi en particular me gusta para nail art, acentos y también para cubrir las uñas completamente en glitter. Pero..Por Dios que cuesta quitarlo! Este tipo de esmaltes pueden ser un dolor de cabeza increíble a la hora que hay que removerlo (especialmente si son capas gruesas o trozos de glitter grandes). Toma TANTO tiempo y frotar tanto las uñas las puede terminar lastimando. :s Pero ya no teman! Sigan los pasos de abajo para hacer la tarea de remover el glitter algo súper fácil!
P.S. This trick can also be used with texture polishes (liquid sand, caviar beads, etc.)
P.D. Este truquito funciona también con otros esmaltes con textura (liquid sand, caviar)
You will need/ Necesitan
Nail polish remover - Cotton balls or pads - Aluminum foil (kitchen)
Removedor de esmalte - Algodón - Papel Aluminio
Soak thin pieces of cotton with the polish remover and apply them covering your nails.
Remoja pedacitos delgados de algodón con removedor de esmalte y colócalos cubriendo las uñas.
Wrap your fingers with the aluminum foil and wait 5 minutes. (Try not to go for longer; your nails may get stained if you're wearing a bright base)
Envuelve tus dedos con papel aluminio y espera 5 minutos. (Trata de no sobrepasar este tiempo ya que tus uñas se pueden manchar si llevas una base muy pigmentada).
Remove the foil and there you have it! The glitter and base color are all gone!
Retira el aluminio y ahi lo tienen! El esmalte se ha ido completamente!
Finally, wash your hands and apply some hydrating hand cream (I used OPI's Avojuice, looove this one)
Finalmente, lava tus manos y aplica crema para manos humectante (Yo usé Avojuice de OPI; me encanta esta! Y huele muy muy rico!)
