DIY ENVELOPE GIFT BAGS

Today's DIY project is yet again another idea for wrapping up a gift. When I have a small sized gift to pack, I never find the appropriate size of bag or box and I hate when it floats around in a ginormous bag. That's why I'm showing you a fun way to make your own small bags for those little gifts you might be giving away this Christmas! The best part is that you can decorate this the way you want to :)

El proyecto DIY de hoy es una vez más otra idea para envolver un regalo. Cuando tengo un pequeño regalo, nunca puedo encontrar el tamaño adecuado de bolsa o caja y no me gusta cuando el regalito flota en una bolsa enorme. Es por eso que les mostraré una forma divertida de hacer sus propias bolsas pequeñas para esos regalitos que podrían estar dando esta Navidad! La mejor parte es que pueden decorar las bolsitas de la forma que deseen :)

 You will need:

-Blank envelopes

-Glue stick

-Scissors

-Markers and stickers for decoration

Necesitan:

-Sobres en blanco

-Pegamento en barra

-Tijeras

-Plumones y stickers para decorar

 Start by gluing the open side of the envelope.

Comienza pegando la parte abierta del sobre

 Fold the bottom and both sides, about an inch or so. The size of the folds will determine the depth/width of the bag.

Dobla la parte de abajo y los dos lados, como una pulgada mas o menos. El tamaño de los dobleces va a determinar el ancho de la bolsita.

 Cut across the side you did not fold. It can be as much as you need; this will be the opening for your bag.

Corta horizontalmente en el extremo que no doblaste. Esta sera la parte abierta de la bolsita.

 Now open up the envelope from the side you cut and start shaping the bag using the folds you made. You will end up with two little flaps on the bottom like so.

Ahora abre el sobre del lado que cortaste y empieza a dar forma a la bolsa utilizando los dobleces realizados. Vas a terminar con dos pequeñas aletas en la parte inferior que se verán así.

 Add glue on the flaps and fold down. Press from the inside of the bag to make sure it's well adhered.

Añadir pegamento en las aletas y dobla hacia abajo. Presiona desde el interior de la bolsa para asegurarte que está bien adherido.

Finally decorate your bag with the stickers to make it super festive! Now you have the perfect sized bag for your small gifts :) For the bag decorated with markers, it's easier to write on it white it's still flat. 

You can also use these as treat bags for candy or popcorn.

Finalemente decora tu bolsita con las stickers para hacerla super festiva! Ahora ya tienes  la bolsa perfecta para todos tus pequeños regalitos :) Para la version con plumones metálicos, es más facil decorarla antes de darle forma.

También puedes usar las bolsitas para meter dulces y otras golosinas.
