DIY: TASSEL EARRINGS

Took me quite a while to come back with another DIY project, but here it is! An easy and cheap project to make. Today I'll show you how to make a pair of tassel earrings that are eye catching and follow the eastern style fall trend as seen on the Jason Wu Fall 2012 runway.

-This time I tried to take pictures throughout the process (got kinda hard doing everything with one hand) to give you a better idea of what I did. What do you think? Like it?-

Me tomó bastante tiempo para volver con otro proyecto DIY, pero aquí está! Un proyecto fácil y barato de hacer. Hoy les voy a mostrar cómo hacer un par de pendientes de borla que son llamativos y siguen la tendencia del estilo oriental de otoño como se vio en la pasarela de otoño 2012 de Jason Wu.

-Esta vez trate de tomar fotos a lo largo del proceso (se puso medio difícil hacer todo solo con una mano) para darles una mejor idea de lo que hice. Que piensan? Les gusta?-

1. Look for the tip where the thread begins and cut a long piece.

1. Busca la punta donde comienza el hilo, extiende una parte y cortala.

2. Fold the rest of the thread in half and cut to get your two tassels.

2. Dobla el resto del hilo a la mitad y corta para obtener las dos borlas.

3. Fold the first piece of thread we cut in half and cut again. This will be what we'll use to tie the tassel tops.

3. Toma el primer hilo que cortamos y doblado en mitad otra vez y corta. Esto servirá para amarrar las partes de arriba de las borlas.

4. Once the tassels are tied, place the jump ring on the loop that was formed by the thread (top part of the tassel). Add the earring hook. And you're done! :)

4. una vez las borlas están amarradas, introduce una argollita a través del espacio creado en la parte de arriba de la borla. Agrega el gancho para el arete. Listo! :)
